Manifesto of the Quiet Mind
Manifesto of the Quiet Mind
I write, not to be known,
but to remember that I exist.
I choose silence as a language—
not absence, but precision.
Not cowardice, but clarity.
To speak only when the soul speaks first.
I walk behind my words,
letting them go ahead of me like lanterns.
Let the world read them.
Let none know the hand that lit them.
I am not here for the noise.
I am here for the spaces between it.
For the breath between thoughts.
For the ache that cannot be named.
I reject the stage.
I stand in the margins.
There, I find more truth
than applause could ever offer.
This is not retreat.
This is resistance.
A refusal to be reduced
to what can be marketed, explained, or liked.
I will write until the silence
feels seen.
And when I am gone,
I will have left behind
nothing but a voice
that asked nothing
but to be heard by those
still listening.
